  A Taste of Portugal with a gentle hand, warm heart and radiant smile

  Liked: The Villa was a taste of Portugal. Sylvia, our host, was warm, efficient and kind. The Villa was quaint, clean and the staff extremely accommodating. We were a group of 14 - 7 adults and 7 children under 7. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, linens spotless, light, open and airy. A room change was made to better accommodate the group as well as early checkin, which was a gift in and of itself. Some rooms had no AC, others did have AC, our family traveled in early July and the entire village had an emergency lack of water issue due to the extreme heat. Nonetheless, we were made comfortable, large bottled liters of water were provided, the pool cooled us, the breeze refreshing and the main water came back on around 2 am. It all added to the ambiance of travel. Even other guests were friendly. Complimentary breakfast was varied and fresh. I would recommend the Villa if you want the flavor of local culture vs a cookie cutter hotel.

  Disliked: Not much. Sylvia and staff were continually working to serve any needs that popped up.

  We enjoyed our stay there, location, staff and we would definitely come back there again

  Liked: Most of all. we loved to go every day, except Tuesdays, to a local Portuguese restaurant-Caldeira- 2 minutes walk from our villa. If we would not stay here, we would never know such a gem exists! Moreover, we liked convenience of having breakfast included in our stay. There were plenty of varieties of food and delicious coffee. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we enjoyed having our balcony. The facility is a short car ride to the beautiful beach. The queen size beds were very comfortable.

  Disliked: The twin size beds were uncomfortable. We are about 180 cm tall men, and the twin size beds were too short for us. They were exactly the same type of beds that were located in the living -room area for the sitting and watching TV. Those twin beds should be replaced with the real beds with the regular mattress for the comfort of the guests. Thank you.

  Ok, but would not go back

  Liked: We arrived 1am, told the property that we will arrive 1am, sent us the access method, however we we got there, realsied that cose to access the room was wrong, tried to get hold of someone, finally got a message with the right code. Then followed by another message that we should respect the other guest and try and keep the noise down! seriously! We got this message twice, we are a couple 61 and 51, not roudy teenagers. We both smoke and would go outside to the area where there was an ashtray and a table to smoke, only for the area to be blocked off on 2nd day! The breakfast was ok, but its not full. best to describe it is Continetal, no eggs or hot stuff.

  Disliked: Room very very clean and it was cleaned every day with fresh towels.
