Fabulous
We enjoyed our 4 nights
Liked: The location was amazing. We loved being so close to the beach. The apartment is light and spacious. It is very well equipped. Parking was close by and straightforward.
Disliked: The fact that the bedroom window opened onto a closed corridor leading to the building main door in one direction and our neighbours front door in the other was a bit odd. You needed to keep the curtain closed and we felt awkward having the window open. It was cool when we were there but I can see this being an issue if the weather was hot.
Not Worth the Trouble – Noise, Smell, and Unhelpful Owner
Liked: The location of the property was excellent, just a short walk from the beach. The apartment was spacious and had a terrace, though we didn't use it as it was very windy and cold most of the days.
Disliked: Our stay at this property was highly disappointing, primarily due to unbearable noise from both the upstairs apartment and the building itself. The constant disturbances made it impossible for us—and especially our baby—to get any rest. This noise issue appears to be longstanding, as there’s a sign at the entrance warning about loud noises and offering tips to reduce them. Unfortunately, this crucial information was never disclosed in the property description. To make things worse, there was a persistent strong sewage smell in the bathroom, adding to our discomfort. Despite reporting these significant problems, the owner was completely unhelpful and refused to offer any refund for the unused night or even a partial compensation. Instead, Joāo offered only two nights in the low season, which was wholly inadequate given the severity of the problems. The lack of accountability from the owner was particularly troubling. Although his father, who handled the keys, lives just 200 meters away, neither of them ever showed up to address the noise or smell, despite assuring us they would be available if any issues arose. We strongly recommend against booking this property. Not only is it plagued by noise and unpleasant smells, but the management is dismissive and unresponsive to serious concerns. Additionally, some of the reviews appear questionable, with unrealistic high ratings and no comments. Be sure to read carefully before booking.
