    Reality does not match reputation

Liked: Location was great. Clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels. On site chapels were a plus. Quiet.

Disliked: Some (male) desk staff were unhelpful and lacked basic customer service skills. For example, trying to get hot water to make tea in the evenings was almost impossible. When we asked if we could we have hot water, we were told, ‘The problem is we don’t have anything to put it into.’ There was a full restaurant behind the front desk but apparently it was out of the question to get a cup. When we purchased a tiny paper cup from a nearby machine, a male receptionist filled it with tepid water. We did not ask again. Rooms lacked amenities: no water, no kettle, no coffee machine, no means to access hot water for tea/coffee. Breakfast coffee in the hotel was poor and came from a machine that used powdered milk was unpleasant. Milk for breakfast cereal was room temperature. The bathroom door was made of frosted glass and was directly facing the beds. I was staying with my father which meant that every time one of us needed to use the toilet or shower, the other person had to go and stand by the window or stare at the ceiling to give privacy. No extractor fan or window in the bathroom. Beds were hard and uncomfortable with spring coils poking into my back.

Liked: Overall, it was excellent. The. Hotel is a mixture of modern and classic. The staff were polite, helpful. The room comfortable, clean. The location was perfect, close to amenities and the Fatima basilica. Parking safe infront of hotel free.

Disliked: What could turn a 9 to a 10, some in hotel evening food option. Saying that we were 50m away from a number of restaurants.

Liked: Ed sleeping on.Very close to the Fatima Shrine and with good signage on how to get there. Breakfast was acceptable, but not spectacular. Very clean.

A very pleasant place which fully satisfied the purpose of my stay surrounded by greenery

Liked: It was very close to the Basilica and had a beautiful garden. The breakfast was very good. The staff were extremely helpful and the ambiance was great.

Disliked: It would have been better if we had a kettle and cups
