  Not a good experience

  Didn't like this hotel

  Liked: Because we had the worse room with no AC, NO TV, Under the roof, the bed was very small and uncomfortable, the lady at the front desk apologized, and gave us free dinner.

  Disliked: The room was really bad and far from the Fatima Sanctuary.

  Convenient place but uncomfortable night

  If bedbugs and bad service are your thing, enjoy your stay

  Disliked: We had two rooms. One of them had bed bugs. This room had mattress covers to protect from bed bugs, the other room did not, telling us that they had problems with bedbugs in this room in the past. The staff apologized for the situation, and told us to submit the expenses that we incurred as a result of this problem to them. We had to bring our belongings to the laundrymat to put everything in a hot dryer in order to be sure that we don't bring these bugs with us further. No real support was given to us, despite them clearly having dealt with this issue in the past. Some of our belongings got damaged by the hot dryer and the manager saw the items as we returned from the laundrymat. To be sure that there are not bed bugs in fabric items, it is required to heat treat the items, if you do not have weeks to freeze them. Shoes and sandals that soles were warped, luggage that was worn through in the dryer, items that were damaaged from the heat (backpack, hats, glasses cases with fabric. The manager said that all that she could do was reimburse our laundry costs and that we had to call their head office as they were the ones who could refund our expenses. I called them after having left as it was the weekend, and they said that they couldn't do a refund, but the only way to get a refund would be to send an email to reservations@ridanhotels.com with our proofs, but that head office could forward this to the manager of the hotel in question as they are the ones that have to approve it. I thus sent an email on July 16th and waited. No response. I followed up a month later (Aug 17th).....no response. Sept 11th now and still nothing. They really don't care and don't deal with the effects of their problems, when they clearly have had the same problems in the past.
