A peaceful stay in Fátima with kind and helpful staff. ❤️
Liked: I arrived in Fátima late in the evening after almost 15 hours of travelling. I really appreciated the possibility of late check-in. The location was convenient for visiting the Sanctuary of Fátima. I was especially grateful to the staff for allowing me to leave my large backpack safely after check-out, so I could explore Fátima without carrying it. This kindness meant a lot to me after my long Camino journey. Thank you!

Disappointing stay due to not receiving room we booked

Disliked: We stayed here for one night and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the moment we checked in. We had booked the family room, which was described as having one double bed and two single beds. Before arriving, I even contacted the hotel to confirm that our 4-year-old could sleep in the double bed with my husband and me, and they confirmed that this was fine. When we arrived, we were told that there were no family rooms available, even though I had booked only a few hours earlier and Booking.com was still showing family rooms as available at the time of booking. There was no apology or explanation; we were simply told that the only room available was a room with four single beds (a triple room with an extra rollaway bed). As our son is used to sleeping with us, I ended up sharing a single bed with him all night, which was uncomfortable and not what we had booked. The replacement room was also different from the one advertised. Instead of the described city view, it was on the top floor with a small window overlooking only the hotel’s roof. The TV also had no remote control, so it couldn’t be used. The stay itself was otherwise fine, but it was disappointing to pay for a specific room type and then be given a different room without any apology, explanation or compensation. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I would have appreciated better communication and some acknowledgement of the inconvenience
