  Overall Positive, with some false advertising and some stress

  Liked: Nice facilities and plenty of space. Walkable to several local establishments. Multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, also a dish washer. Well decorated and cozy. Overall a nice stay.

  Disliked: The host mentioned a deposit made by wire transfer, which is not standard and seemed suspicious. There was a lot of messaging back and forth before the stay with the host inquiring about the deposit (which was technically in the policy, but not clearly stated in the main page of the accommodation), with instant replies. But when it came time to return the deposit it took nearly 3 weeks, with several days between replies. We did get the deposit back, but the effort required to get the deposit back was stressful. The listing advertises laundry facilities. This is false, as the facilities are in another accommodation that requires the host to contact someone and then you would have to go back and forth between buildings. This meant that practically speaking we could not do laundry.

  Liked: The house is spacious, and everything inside feels quite new. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is super convenient. Everything worked perfectly during our stay. The view from the windows is absolutely stunning, and the area is very quiet and comfortable. There’s a private pool – small, but just right for cooling off on a hot day. The host was very responsive and answered all our questions quickly. The welcome snack was a great touch and much appreciated after a long trip. I was a bit unsure about the deposit at first, as it was my first time dealing with it, but everything went smoothly – I received the full refund the day after we left.

  Disliked: A couple of small suggestions: I would recommend adding mosquito nets to the windows, as quite a few flies tend to get in when the windows are open. Also, the larger bed was a bit too soft for my taste, but that’s just a personal preference. in general we enjoyed our stay a lot.

  We loved Casa Fraga do Suadouro and would recommend it

  Liked: The house, which is well located, has the most amazing views of the mountains and is spacious and comfortable. The beds and showers and kitchen are great. The pool looks very inviting. Everything you could need is provided. Our host was very helpful. You can walk around the area and visit the museum in the village. There are small shops and cafes within walking distance. It is quiet and peaceful.

  Disliked: Nothing.
