Spacious apartment. Great location. Free underground parking. Lovely base for exploring from

Liked: Excellent location in a small apartment block with free underground car parking in a spacious garage. Large living room/dining area. Good sized bedrooms (2). Kitchen well equipped including Delta capsule coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine and other amenities you'd expect. Close to wide range of shops, supermarket and restaurants. Great base for hiking up the mountains. Very close to an outdoor swimming pool with bar and large grassy area to relax on (Bar da Piscina) NOTE: Not owned by Retiro das Andorinhas so have to pay an entrance fee - great place to cool off in hot afternoons

Disliked: In August the town was buzzing and quite noisy til 11pm/midnight. There could have been a few more complimentary amenities (dishwasher tablets / clothes detergent / cloths / bin bags / shower gel) to tide us over during a short stay.
