Awesome place, perfect for our two-week holidays
Liked: Cute house in a great, quiet location. The patio was spacious, the kitchen well equipped for cooking and we had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Reliable wi-fi.

Liked: My stay deserves 10/10 for several reasons: Luis, our host, met us when we arrived and showed us around the property. We exchanged smartphone details and we remained in contact for the duration of our stay and he was able to assist with 'tips' for the area and also to answer any questions regarding the property. I really appreciated this 'personal touch'. The kitchen was the best equipped of any property I have booked through Booking.Com. As we are self caterers there was nothing lacking and my son, who is an apprentice chef, was able to cook and serve up super meals using the local fresh fish and local ingredients of the area. The property was clean, tidy and well looked after. The property was conveniently located to central Olhao and the harbourside (a brisk walk will get you there in 10 minutes). It is situated in a quiet location. We enjoyed the peaceful courtyard at the back of the property which had plenty of tables, chairs and an outdoor shower. Overall the customer service and the small noticeable things (eg free WiFi, a personalised welcome card from our host,easy access,easy car parking,good location, excellent facilities, aircon in the rooms) deserve the rating and review I am giving. Thank you Luis and well done!
Disliked: I would be nit-picking to find fault with our stay and that would be the plastic coated mattress cover which seems to be standard in many properties and hotels these days; practical they are but personally I'm not a big fan of them. I will add this did not detract from our overall enthusiastic experience.
Holiday in Olhao, Portugal
Liked: Everything about the property was excellent, from the cleanliness and comfort to the beautiful setting. It was well-equipped, tastefully decorated, and perfectly located for exploring Olhão. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and how family-friendly it was. It truly felt like a home away from home. All was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible hospitality of Luís and Carla. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and it truly made our family stay unforgettable. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like, everything exceeded our expectations.
Superb flat with big balcony
Liked: Very spacious, and awesome contact with Luis. Our kids instantaneously felt at home. We liked it so much that we checked whether we could cancel the next location to remain longer:)

We had an excellent stay
Liked: For access to the train station, it was excellent. Luis and Carla were warm, lovely hosts. Their holiday property is well equiped and beautifully decorated and homely. They took the trouble to take us in their car for a tour of Olhao to show us where restaurants and the quayside were. It helped us get to know the area before exploring for ourselves. They showed us a supermarket just at the end of our street (proved really useful). We enjoy walking but for those who don't or can't, a car would be useful. The bus and train services to other places is excellent and cheap. Thank you Luis and Carla. We hope to visit you again.
Disliked: The only downside about the place was the lack of restaurants close to the property for eating out in the evening- 20min walk away.
A highly recommended place for a memorable stay
Liked: The apartment was in a nice neighbourhood, away from the crowds but within easy reach of the seafront (15 minute stroll), with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The station was also really handy (5 minutes walk) and a reliable cheap way to get about to other local towns that were well worth a visit. The apartment was really well kitted out, comfortable, roomy, and with plenty of space outside in which to relax and soak up the sun. Luis couldn't have been more helpful and was everything you’d want in a host.
Disliked: To be honest, I can't think of anything that was not up to scratch or could have been improved. There is nothing I would have done different and nothing else that could have been provided to make the stay a good one.
