Fabulous
A pleasant stay, as the house is centrally located, with wonderful hosts
Liked: The hosts were welcoming, charming, delightful, and very helpful people. They couldn’t have been nicer. The house is in a great location being in the centre of the old town of Olhão. It is literally a 3-4 minutes walk to the Mercado and all the bars and restaurants. It’s a very easy, flat walk to both the ferry, to go to the beautiful islands in the Ria Formosa, and also to the train station to go along the coast. The WiFi was good, and there was always plenty of hot water for showers etc. Efficient air conditioning too. Really good communication with the hosts Marie and Bertrand. They responded extremely quickly whenever we needed to make contact with them before and during our stay.
Disliked: This house is better suited to people who don’t have any mobility issues etc. The step up into the house is very high, and the internal staircases are extremely steep and narrow. We knew it had stairs, but hadn’t realised how difficult they would be to negotiate. The stairs up to the washing machine and the roof terrace were even steeper and we had to practically crawl up them. The stairs made our knees and backs hurt, as we are a couple in our 70’s. The sofa was also very low, which made it difficult to get up from. None of these things would have been a problem if we were younger and in better health. This place is ideal for fitter young people, and we’d say it would be perfect for others - just not for us.

Liked: Everything.. great location, house clean and modern, and a wonderful host Bertrand who was very helpful and welcoming
Dirty apartment with an impertinent owner
Liked: Appartment located in old center, close to the restaurants.
Disliked: The cleanness level of the apartment when we checked in was bad: not swiped floor with somebody's hair, dirty shower, toilet, and fridge. I needed to clean before moved in, even washing the linen. The owner initially pretends he is solving the situation, even sending a lady to mop the floor. After my check out, he sent me photos of the dishes "not put away" that was left to dry and some small stain from a pillow and requested additional money for cleaning - very impertinent reaction, a specially taking a state from check-in.
Fabulous; love Olhao and particularly Kasa Blanca!
Liked: A lovely house in a great location with a wonderful host.
Disliked: Can't think of a thing; we were very pleased.
