  Liked: We loved being right on the waterfront. We really enjoyed sitting out front, looking at the ocean and listening to the waves. The apartment was super cute and had everything we needed. They even left us some treats which my husband dug into right away. (We had to go to the store to get some more of that pepper sauce to bring home too!) The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and we appreciated having a washing machine, especially after soaking in the iron-rich thermal baths. Walking into town or down to the beach along the waterfront promenade was easy because we could see how close we were to the rock. There were cool little tide pools by the rock that I wish I found earlier! It was only a 3 minute walk to get picked up for our tours or to catch a Bolt, which was very convenient. We liked being close enough to the city center that we didn't even need a car but far enough that it was more peaceful, while still having good access to everything.

  Staying at Cantinho do Ilhéu offered a comfortable, safe, exceptional experience

  Liked: I loved everything about this property. The Ferreira family is the most gracious people. Goncalo sent excellent directions and met me in the free parking lot next to the rental. I travel alone, and Goncalo and his family were there if needed. The apartment has everything you need. The road you see in front of the home is a walk/bike path. Cars cannot drive by there, so it was lovely to just sit on the front lawn and gaze at the sea. Swimming areas are within walking distance with lifeguards on duty until 7 pm. I just loved my stay and did not want to leave. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Sleeping was awesome. The apartment is dark with the curtains closed, and the air conditioning works great. The shower was awesome too. I can't wait to go back. Joao, Goncalo, Hugo, and Elisabete, you all are in my heart forever! Até à próxima, que Deus vos abençoe a todos.

  Liked: Great host, very communicative and available but not intrusive. Everything needed for a self contained stay if desired, apartment cost and comfortable, quiet with safe and short walk to free off street parking, well located for easy access to explore Sao Miguel by car and to waterfront cycle or walking pathways, bikes included! Highly recommend for your stay in Ponta Delgada.

  Great, but no king bed

  Liked: Fantastic place. View is amazing, and eating meals out by the ocean is incredible. Hosts are lovely, and provided some very pleasant islands snacks at the start. Two criticisms: The bed was not a king bed, despite being listed as such. Normally, I'd dock a point or two for not matching the listing, but honestly the rest of the property was so great i can't bring myself to lower the rating. The property was extremely hard to find. Theres a restaurant right next door, and the owners should really message guests and tell them to put that restaurant into the gps.
