  Liked: Everything! The location, the host, the place itself. Pilar and her husband were wonderful. So welcoming and nice to reach out to. The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise with the best cheese I’ve ever had. We got an upgrade in the middle of the stay and it made our stay even better than it was before. And we lovedddddd the dogs. I will recommend this place a million times and wish every place would be like this! I left this place with sadness and wish to be back there asap.

  Overall, a beautiful and peaceful place with a fantastic host. We’d happily recommend it!

  Liked: The location was perfect: peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to everything we wanted to see. There’s private parking, which was very convenient. Our host, Pilar, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind and happy to help with anything we needed, and she even left a lovely welcome basket of treats for us at the entrance:) The property is large and very spacious, with a big pool and a wide lawn area. The whole place feels truly pastoral and relaxing.

  Disliked: The bed was quite small for two adults. Some of the furnishings in the room are a bit dated and could use some updating.

  An extraordinary find in the Azores

  Liked: The property is very special. A spacious garden and lawn, very private. The room was decorated with whimsy and charm. I enjoyed sitting near the pool in the quiet surroundings. Pilar, the owner couldn’t have been nicer and informative about things to do. I didn’t want to leave this lovely oasis.

  A beautiful oasis just out of the tourist centre

  Liked: Excellent apartments just outside the tourist centre. The building is old and beautiful with a modern kitchen/lounge and a spacious bedroom. The owner also provided a surprise welcome hamper with local treats. The pool is of course a fantastic drawcard and there are two smallish and friendly dogs that wander around the garden. Finally, the owner has a list of local places to visit, both in Ponta Delgado and around the island. You feel exceptionally well taken care of.

  Disliked: A minor point would be to attend to the bathroom fittings. Some are very old and could be replaced. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
