  Almost a great little cottage! One very comfortable bed

  Liked: The property is a great little cottage in a good location close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and we found it great for cooking our own meals. There is one bedroom with one queen bed and a full down. The bedroom is large and bright. We found it a nice place to stay.

  Disliked: Our major problem was that the heater/air conditioner was out of commission for 2 days and the rooms were very cold. There is only one unit heating only the bedroom. The kitchen and living room have a very high ceiling. Being Easter weekend there was no one to fix it. The owner brought us a small heater but it was very inadequate for the space. The owner would not agree to a partial reimbursement. The living area was well furnished however the two chairs provided to view the television we're terribly uncomfortable. The property is high up on a hill requiring a high climb on lavastone steps. It is difficult to carry heavy luggage from the parking space to the cottage. The parking space is well protected with a sliding door however it requires careful driving to enter and exit as there is an angle to negotiate.

  Great Location near the beach and close to Ponta Delgada

  Liked: Great location near the beach it's like a 2 minutes walk. There is a nice restaurant at the beach the food is good and the prices are decent.

  Disliked: The apartment is quite small and there was no coffee machine.

  Fully equipped for a comfortable stay

  Liked: The small house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kitchen is fully equipped, host is friendly and responsive

  Disliked: The remote control for the garage door does not have a long enough range, and you always have to stand next to the door for it to work, which can be quite inconvenient

  Very good

  Liked: Property was exactly as described. small house with washer, coffee pot, and washing machine. Clean and great location in the south central island. That’s all we needed because most of our time is exploring the island. Restrauant/ coffee shop with black sand beach one block away for morning espresso. Very good value.

  Disappointing

  Liked: Well-equipped kitchen Private parking Good location

  Disliked: We had rented the house for 3 nights, but since our plans changed, we decided to stay for an additional night and booked it again through booking.com. We received the confirmation email. The next day, while we were on our route, the host called us and told us we had to leave the house immediately. She said she had rented the house to someone else and needed to clean it. We were on the other side of the island and had to cancel all our plans to return to the house and pack our belongings. This experience was far from professional, and we have never encountered such a situation before.
