The place itself was really top notch and classy. I would not walk around the neighborhood

Liked: delicious, very nice staff. Got a tray for me to take my mom breakfast.

Disliked: swimming pool was too cold and hot tub more of a lukewarm tub. No lighting around there at night available to turn on, dangerous to navigate getting in to it in the dark.

Liked: This was one of my favorite places to stay on the island. The pool, the gardens, and the interior design were beautiful. We stayed in another hotel closer to the center as well, but I preferred this location. The private, easily accessible parking was a huge bonus in Ponta Delgada.

Liked: Beautiful historic home in a botanic garden with enormous trees and fragrant flowers. The pool and hot tub were perfect to relax after a day of hiking.
