  Be careful booking here

  Disliked: I just want to warn others before booking this place. We booked and paid in full using Booking.com, received all confirmation emails. On the day that we were suppose to check in, I get a message apologising that they never got the confirmation from Booking.com and my room was cancelled days ago! This is getting quite common in Portugal as these places receive higher offers and cancel the lower paid ones. I managed to speak to Booking.com and they said that everything was done on their end but they helped me find a new place (after more than 2hrs on the phone). I had to pay again for the new place but I will get a refund for the difference. What really annoyed me with Casa Santo António was that they said my booking was cancelled days ago but waited until our check in day to let us know.

  Bait and switch

  Liked: Lovely pool area. Helpful staff.

  Disliked: Advertisement listed free bottle of wine with check in and free bikes for guests to use, but nope. Hair in sink. Broken toilet seat. Peeling paint. Dirty glass.

  A tranquil haven

  Liked: Casa Santi Antonio is a very tranquil guesthouse. I especially enjoyed the vibe in the courtyard and pool. The room was airy, clean and had an exceptionally comfortable bed. Toiletries and towels were provided and there was a fridge in the room, which was very useful to chill wine and keep nibbles. The hosts were very friendly and approachable.
