  A very attractive, quirky, home from home apartment

  Liked: This is an exceptional, quirky apartment with everything that you need for a holiday in Tavira. Christine has thought of everything from beach towels to water and wine and Portuguese custards on arrival to lots of local, useful information. The little balcony is a bonus for early morning tea and coffee as well as a glass of wine as the sun goes down. It was close to the local supermarket and some little local restaurants. It was only a short walk to the main tourist area - with shops and restaurants and sight seeing places. The ferry over to the beaches was cheap and easy to use, and again within walking distance of the apartment.

  Disliked: Nothing really! It was all well thought out and provided us with everything that we needed to enjoy our stay in Tavira.

  Liked: Casa Cristina was a delight! The property is located right in a lovely residential area of Tavira. We felt like locals during our stay…walked for groceries and beverages, and across the bridge to enjoy the restaurants and lovely views. The Mediterranean Festival was taking place the weekend of our stay, so there was a vibrant atmosphere of music, craft stalls, and activities. Christine was a lovely, gracious and generous host and met us at the door upon our arrival. We loved having the terrace to sit out and enjoy the quaint and quiet neighbourhood.

  A cozy retreat, great for this solo traveler

  Liked: What a lovely place to stay in Tavira! It’s so close to everything, yet also tucked away so it’s nice and quiet when you need it. After traveling through Portugal and staying at hotels before reaching Tavira, it was really nice to connect with someone here, to get me settled (fairly quickly, but very warmly!) and get some wonderful suggestions for my visit. I loved how close the grocery store was, having access to a kitchen, and it was so nice to be able to wash my clothes! It felt like home, with everything you might need. It was so great to have access to beach supplies! Definitely recommend walking past the flamingos and salt flats to the farther/cheaper ferry. A lovely town to wander through, and a really wonderful place to stay. It was an easy walk to and from the Porta Nova train station, even with all my luggage. Thank you so much!!

  Disliked: I can’t think of anything. My whole experience was wonderful!

  Fabulous stay in old Tavira!

  Liked: After stays in keyless, person less accommodations, it was such a treat to be met by Christine and get us settled. The apartment had everything we could have wanted from basic cooking supplies like olive oil to a shower cap and beach towels! Not to mention the treat she left!

  Fantastic homely apartment right in the centre of the lovely community of Tavira

  Liked: Fantastic and very homely apartment right above a local restaurant. Great balcony for drinks and dining.

  Disliked: The bedroom was quite stuffy...(aircon on while sleeping)
