  Overall we enjoyed the stay and liked the quiet area. The apartment was cold but I am sure in the warmer months this tu

  Liked: Location, price. Easy parking. Good size. Clean. Quiet neighborhood.

  Disliked: There was no working heating in the apartment so felt cold all the time there. Outside felt warmer. A few small things some of the internal doors don’t close we’ll need some adjustment and no lock on the bathroom door.

  All you need to spend a week or two close to the beach

  Liked: I liked the apartment, the space, the well equipped kitchen and the location. There's plenty of parking around but you can just leave your car and go to the beach on foot... and by boat. Due to the nature of our stay we did not use the kitchen that much but everything is there. The triple air-conditioning works really well. In the future, if possible, I would come here again for a nice relaxed vacation.

  Disliked: Well... there's actually nothing, I guess. The price was OK but this was still June. Cannot say how it will be in July/August... maybe less attractive then but this is close to the coastline and beaches.

  Liked: Great location, price, and comfort. The apartment was like renting from a friend- very welcoming and felt right at home:).

  Disliked: I believe this wasn’t the usual way this is done for this accommodation- but in a single message we were provided the exact location of the apartment on google maps, as well as being instructed to collect the keys from a keybox. Unfortunately, the keybox was on the wall of a *different* property, a 2-mile round trip by foot, and we only found out about this other location after calling booking.com customer service. Thankfully, the weather was a bit cooler in October so the trip to collect the key wasn’t as bad as it may have been in Summer, and even more thanks to the friendly neighbours upstairs who recognised the location in the photo of the keybox! A slightly shaky start but by no means dampened the holiday, we still had a lovely time and would recommend / stay again. But please, if you are unable to greet the guests on arrival and they are to collect the keys from a box, let the guests know the address of the box too, not just the address of the apartment!

  We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday at Peña Areia

  Liked: The property was clean and well kept. Milton was great and showed us how to work everything in the apartment. We loved the choice of four pools. The apartment was also close to restaurants, shops and the beach.
