Very good
Disliked: The showers were not great but that is all
Loved by whole family: facilities all immaculate, staff wonderful and location perfect
Liked: The complex was wonderful, everything we could have needed and well-located for lots of fun days out, beaches and eateries. The train and boat service across to the beach were super convenient and all staff from the receptionist to the ground staff, the train driver to the waiters were so welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Our accommodation was a little cramped without storage in the main living area for the two beds located there but it was our first stay and next time we might book with two bedrooms. We were in a peaceful location but it was very sheltered by trees and didn’t receive a lot of sun - probably great in peak summer but would’ve been nice in October.
Best weekend
Liked: The overall place was lovely, the pool area was clean and pleasant to sit in the evenings. It is a short walk to the wee town where there are restaurants, shops and a beach. We attended a wedding reception at Pedras very well run, brilliant day and evening. Ian went above and beyond to help make the day so successful, brilliant. We also played bowls at the bowling green. Everyone was friendly and again Ian organised this very well, great competitions, and new friends made.
Disliked: The steps up to the apartment, although not many you had to be very careful. It would be worth asking for ground floor if you are at all unsteady.
Very enjoyable, we will be back but will explore other types of accommodation on site
Liked: The site is great with lots of greenery around and really good facilities.
Disliked: The villa is very dark and we had two bedrooms but no double bed.
Overpriced, run down cabana in a great location
Liked: Location, desk staff, landscaping of resort. Charming, beautiful town with friendly people. Great restaurants: Indian Farmer Restaurant, Restaurante Pedro.
Disliked: Furniture (table and chairs) black paint repeatedly came off on clothes and skin. Mattress very hard and uncomfortable. Refrigerator too small to be useful. Kitchen lacked basic tools (spatula, baking dishes, storage food containers, etc) Coffee maker not in room and the one given upon request was dirty and broken so unusable. Ants everywhere constantly. Maid service terrible. Was supposed to include cleaning and mopping as well as changing linens and towels based on information given in writing by hotel front desk staff. Only linens and towels done.
Very close to the town centre, but very quiet resort, fabulous pool, lovely restaurant and amazing
Liked: The staff were absolutely brilliant, helpful and kind. We needed help from the electrician and despite a language barrier, he fixed the issue with humour.
Disliked: The toilets around the pool area need more regular cleaning, topping up with soap and toilet rolls.
