  Liked: A lovely complex with a really nice pool area. Very relaxing in the quiet season of October. Not in centre but supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

  Disliked: The 15 minute walk to the centre of Tavira was along a busy road near Continente shopping centre.

  A good budget option

  Liked: Very spacious. A bit outdated but clean and well-made. Free parking, good AC and wifi (once you decode the handwritten password). Cooking facilities and proximity to a shopping mall with a big Auchan supermarket - that was convenient. However it is far from Tavira places of interest; you must have a car.

  Disliked: It's one of zilion look-alike units, and it's a bit difficult to find. The lack of enough electrical sockets meant I charged my phone in the kitchen and inevitably forgot the charger in the room... my bad.
