  Very disappointing

  Liked: Great location, nice room, lovely old Portuguese property

  Disliked: There was a fault with the plumbing which meant that we had no hot water. Inevitably from time to time things go wrong we understand that but the sign of a good hotel is how they react. The staff here were very unhelpful. They said they would try to get a plumber to come but the man they used did not work at weekends. At one stage they implied we were being fussy as they had not received complaints from other guests. We checked with 2 other guests who confirmed they had hot water. After 2 days of cold showers we decided to cut our 5 days stay short and moved to a different hotel.

  Second stay, still our favourite spot in Tavira

  Liked: This was our second visit to São Paulo Boutique Guesthouse and it was every bit as good as the first. The breakfast is tasty, quality and is something different everyday. The staff are absolutely lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The plunge pool is a nice break after a day in the sun. The location is about as good as you can get in Tavira, right in the heart of town with everything a short walk away. Parking can be a bit tricky, but that's to be expected in the old town and it's a small price to pay. We recommend it to all of our friends and we'll be back.

  A beautiful accommodation in a very pretty town. Great food and people

  Liked: The accommodation was right in the centre near excellent bars and restaurants. It was close to all amenities. The decoration of the hotel was beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable.

  Disliked: Suggestion maybe somewhere to hang wet bathing suits after being in the pool. Otherwise everything was perfect.

  A unique stay in Tavira

  Liked: This guesthouse definitely stands out. The style and architecture of the property are remarkable. The location is right in the center of Tavira, yet it is very quiet and peaceful. I didn’t regret choosing this little guesthouse at all! The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The pictures and description of the property are an accurate reflection of what you will find. I recommend it with no hesitation!
