  Not up to the standard I hoped for

  Disliked: The property was very basic and tired. The outside space was partly shared which I was unaware of. Outside the property there was an area which had been used as a general tip. The facilities within the apartment were ok

  Disappointing on every level

  Liked: Location of property is central.

  Disliked: Photos advertising the property are inaccurate. 44 steps up to accommodation, not mentioned in the advert. The property was not clean, hair from previous occupants on the floors, microwave & freezer were dirty. Water was scalding hot/freezing cold, dangerous. Shower base was soft and unstable, whole bathroom was dated, I cleaned the door at the handle as it was filthy. Terrace had no decent loungers, (unlike picture on advert) so no point paying more for that as you couldn’t use the terrace to relax. Electric bed-light socket in bedroom hanging off the wall. Stayed 9 nights no cleaning was carried out. Owners were fast to respond to scalding water issue, however, I would not recommend this property. We have stayed in Tavira numerous times before and unfortunately this was a huge disappointment and vastly overpriced.

  Overall a good experience. Instructions how to access the property were provided by email prior to arrival, along with g

  Liked: Very well located in the heart of the town, just 1 row over from the river. Well equipped with external balcony and shared terrace.

  Disliked: There are @50 steps to go upto / down from the apartment. This was not an issue for me, but could prevent a challenge to anyone with even minor mobility issues
