  Liked: It is in a good location

  Disliked: The apartment was overpriced for its condition. It was not properly cleaned: there was dried toothpaste on the sink, limescale in the shower, hair on the toilet flush button and bed linen, and dirty, marked walls. The bed was poorly made, and the furniture was worn and outdated. The apartment needs significant renovation and a complete redesign. You can easily find better accommodation for less money. Due to these issues, I decided to stay elsewhere, but the host refused to refund my money. Very disappointing experience and poor value for money.

  Avoid this property

  Liked: Odd place, yet with potential. Location is nice. It had a peaceful balcony.

  Disliked: Run down and very dirty. Book’g indicates A/C yet after Bk’g is $$ posted, vendor writes to ensure you ‘looked at the pics’ so you know for what you’re actually paying (Yet, is impossible to ‘see’ a lack of AC!). Thankfully the evening I stayed was cool enough and to be fair, a fan was in the room. Yet, it was still overpriced by about ~2/3 as is comparative to other near hostels for what you get, and Near-Window-less “Art Room #2” is just odd, depressed, wholly dank & dingy. Avoid until they can refurbish it. [Date: Aug 22, 2026]

  Disliked: The staff was a bit rude. When booking, I had an issue with the app where I couldn't access the messages where the host had sent me messages to share my personal information. I could not in any way read them without the access through the app. The host then contacted me through whatsapp and he was not flexible at all regarding my situation, threatening that if I didn't send the messages through the booking messages, he would cancel the reservation. After contacting customer service I was able to send my information and keep my reservation.

  Avoid - check out Thomar Story instead!

  Liked: We left within 20 minutes. Found far better for only 4 euros more. It was dirty and shabby. He also videoed us going in, threatened to report us to police for disrespect, then declared we never arrived... despite his own video evidence. Liked NOTHING

  Disliked: Everything. Fillty room. Paper pealing off walls, disgusting bathroom, broken shower, pathetic bed. It was in no way similar to marketing photos.

  A most comfortable stay in Tomar

  Liked: Easy to find. Very comfortable and quiet. Excellent dialogue with the owner and a superb tapas bar downstairs.
