  Comfortable stay

  Liked: Loved the communal room with the fully equipped kitchen. Antonio was so interesting and shared a lot of the Portugese history. Very clean everywhere. Perfect.

  Disliked: Couldn't get the on street parking outside the building so had to park the car a little walk away.

  Very nice hostel

  Liked: Very nice hostel. The owner is knowledgeable about the history of the place and very helpful. Pleasant common room, well equipped kitchen. The location was in walking distance of everything - Tomar is a small place. We had no trouble parking in the street.

  The proprietors are extremely kind, offer fantastic service, and have thought of everything!

  Liked: Absolutely beautiful room and place. Super kind people. I was traveling alone and needed a little extra support upon arrival and the proprietors were extremely accommodating. Would absolutely stay again!

  Liked: Everything thing about the hostel and its owner Mr Antonio! The hostel is about 500 m from the train/bus station, 1.5 Km from the Convent of The Christ and the Knights Templar Castle and about 500 m from the town centre. Our room and ensuite bath was very neat, clean and comfortable. The security system was great and we couldn't have asked for a better host!! During our stay one of us felt a little unwell and Mr Antonio offered to drive us to the hospital. I consider myself a history buff and always take care to read up about places before I choose to visit them. But Mr Antonio's history story-telling left me amazed with its scope, accuracy and depth. Lastly though we visited all the sites on our list in Tomar we're very likely to return next year to visit the lovely city again and, of course,to stay at Mr Antonio's lovely hostel the Residencial Avenida Hostel. We liked it that much!!
