  Great location and really well equipped

  Liked: We had a great stay at Varandas do Nabão. The location is excellent, right at the entrance to the city centre and overlooking the main roundabout, so everything is within easy walking distance. The river, restaurants and main sights are all just a few steps away. Despite being so central, the property was surprisingly quiet, which made it very comfortable for sleeping and relaxing after a day out. The apartment was also very well equipped, with pretty much all the appliances and amenities you would expect to have in a normal home. That made the stay feel much easier and more comfortable, especially for anything beyond a very short visit. The air conditioning was also a huge plus, especially with the hot weather. It would honestly have been very difficult without it! Overall, a very convenient, comfortable and well-equipped place to stay, particularly if you want to be right in the centre while still having a peaceful base.

  Comfortable apartment in centre of town

  Liked: Centrally located, close to shops and restaurants, a short uphill walk to the castle (however it was closed for maintenance during our stay). Functional kitchen space, reasonably equipped for a short day. Air conditioning was very useful in the hot weather! Suitably spacious apartment, comfortable furniture & beds.

  Disliked: No on site parking, and the large car park nearby was not available on Thursday nights due to the market on Friday, however other car parks were available a further walk away. Not very easy to locate the entrance with the information provided.
