  Double booking

  Disliked: We got to the house and other guests were staying there. We called the number for the accommodation and they told us that they had double-booked the place, while being unapologetic and unhelpful, and that they would get in touch with Booking.com to give us back the money. They later did not respond to any of our later phone calls or texts, and the situation was only resolved after I had called Booking.com.

  Liked: The location is good if you want to be in the center, though a little noisy

  Disliked: The dish-washer did not work (the owner did not seem to care), the kitchen cupboards were dirty, kitchenware was poor to use, no cleaning products as mentioned in the picture, the shower was old and not user friendly, the bath tub was dirty, no toiletries as mentioned in the description, there was only one chair in the terrace (and not 6 as in the picture, and the owner seem not to care either)

  A lovely short stay in an excellent property

  Liked: Convenient location, which has a Portuguese not holiday vibe. Perfect as we want to stay somewhere authentic. It could be busier with holiday makers later in the year but perfect in March. The property was excellent! Just right for a couple but would comfortably accommodate three more people. Lovely covered terrace which faced south but would also be cool in high summer. It was perfect. Fully-equipped kitchen was fab.

  Disliked: Check-in as I was told we’d get a code, then when we arrived we had to meet someone at the property to have over the key. As I was eating lunch nearby, waiting 15 minutes at the property for the key was inconvenient. There was no full-length mirror in the property. Bathroom could do with a little updating.
