  Very good stay

  Liked: Hotel was very clean and could be easily located. Fantastic breakfast with vast selection of items.

  Disliked: Beds were a bit too firm, and the hotel should consider providing lunch and dinner.

  Liked: The location and size of the room and it was very clean

  Disliked: The pool was too small. There was one ladder for entry and exit which was loose and shaking. The other entry point was a few tiled steps into the pool under water level- there were no safety rails and I saw a lady fall and injure her ankle. Breakfast is poor and not worth getting up for

  A lovely break at Monte Gordo and so pleased we chose the Alba Hotel

  Liked: Proximity to beach, pool, and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good - nice variety of food. Good storage space in the room. Lifts in hotel very helpful. Late check out time a bonus.

  Good location, but feels more like a 2–3 star hotel than a 4-star property

  Liked: The location is the hotel's strongest point: it is very close to Monte Gordo Beach, restaurants and shops, making it convenient for a beach holiday. The room was adequate and the stay was generally fine in terms of basic comfort.

  Disliked: The main disappointment was that Hotel Alba simply did not feel like a 4-star hotel. The property and facilities are quite dated, and the breakfast was adequate but repetitive and unremarkable, with little variation during our three-night stay. Parking was also a significant problem: there was no garage space available when we arrived, despite having asked about parking beforehand, so we had to park on the street and repeatedly pay for parking every four hours. For a hotel presented as 4-star, I expected considerably more.

  Liked: Location, easy walking distance to the beach.

  Disliked: Breakfast. Very poor noise isolation in the bedroom, with a high floor gap in the bedroom door. Very low noise canceling floor in the outside, every step or guests trolley looked like inside the bedroom. Few parking spots in the hotel, and with extra charge, outside public parking costs about 12€.
