  Great place to stay, very friendly staff. Would defo go back

  Liked: The staff were lovely. So helpful on reception, nothing was too much trouble. And the main people around the bar area. It was very clean with good facilities. Good choices at meal times. Loved having the swans and ducks around

  Disliked: The pool table wasn’t the best quality and I think expensive for a poor pool table. The music in the bar area could be better. It was quite dull on a night time and we found ourselves going out because of it (the male guitarist and singer was great though) The food on a night time was fine but a little over priced for what it was if you’re only having a small amount. Maybe an option a different colour plate for one serving only at a reduced price?

  A very relaxing and clam retreat from the rigors of daily life

  Liked: Breakfast area was agreeable and fun to watch the waiters keep the Swans at bay. The Buffet had a large selection and it was very pleasant.

  The hotel falls far short of the standards expected of a 5-star hotel (rooms at best at 2-stars)

  Liked: The whole complex, with its green spaces and swimming pools, was very attractive.

  Disliked: The room was by far not adequate for a 5 stars hotel. Very small size, especially the bathroom (ca. 5 sqm). The washbasin unit was far too small (approx. 80 x 50 cm), with a tiny washbasin on top. You couldn’t open the door if someone was standing in front of the washbasin. It took 5 minutes for the shower water to get warm, and the water pressure at the washbasin was extremely weak. Also the bed was very inconvenient: two small (180 x 80 cm) beds next to each other instead of one normally sized bed (200 x 180 cm). Although the hotel’s website mentioned soundproof walls, even quiet noises from the neighbouring room (children) or from outside (e.g. aircraft noise) could be heard clearly. None of the three outdoor pools were heated; the water was far too cold to create a pleasant swimming experience.

  Liked: Just back from 5 nights at the Pestana. We really enjoyed our stay there. Suites around the adult pool are really nice and spacious. Breakfast is great and the golf club house is also great for snacks and drinks. Ubers are quick and cheap into Vilamoura for a great night out.

  Disliked: Stayed for buffet dinner one night and probably wouldn't again. Just average in my opinion.
