Very good
Paid for an upgrade which wasn’t delivered
Liked: The location of the hotel was great and our room was nice and clean.
Disliked: Sadly we booked and paid extra for a room with a balcony however upon arrival the balcony door hit the bottom of the bed when we tried to open it so had to shift the bed over only to open the door to find it a construction zone and completely blocked with scaffolding, plastic sheeting and lots of dust. When I asked for us to either move to a room with a balcony as we paid for or to have that portion of our room refunded this was refused. The room was most expensive part of our trip which included flights and long distance train tickets. Therefore I was quite disappointed in the hotels response to simply say no. I would add that the fridge in the room did not get cold so we had to go to a pharmacy to buy cold packs to keep my mother’s medication cold. Lastly I would have appreciated additional blankets and pillows in the room like I have experienced in all other hotels I have ever stayed in. There was one blanket and one pillow which is quite basic. Again given the price I didn’t feel I should have to ask for more. Whilst the location was great I would not choose to stay here again given the response we received.

Great Place
Liked: The location is excellent. Metro near by. The room is simple but has everything we need: a comfortable bed, a good air conditioner, and a great shower.
Disliked: There’s a bit of street noise, but since this is Europe, you shouldn’t expect the same level of insulation as in the USA/Canada.
For a short stay, for one person, this was a very good room. It was expensive, but it was Barcelona!
Liked: The room was very clean and quiet. Check in was easy for me because I arrived while the clerk was there. He was very helpful and arranged a taxi pickup for me. The air conditioning was such a relief after being out in the muggy heat. There are very good restaurants in the immediate area and it was easy to walk or use the busses to get where I wanted to go.
