Fabulous
Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful
Liked: Breakfast was good, people were good. Only problem I had was with the road noise

Filthy. Give it a miss
Liked: The location is excellent. The receptionist on the second day, and the security guards were really kind.
Disliked: I arrived late at night to a room that was filthy. There were nail clippings on the floor, which had not been swept. There were brown marks on the light switch in the bathroom that looked like fecal matter. There was no hand soap (and I needed to wash my hands after touching that light switch). I complained but was told that there were no alternative rooms in my price category for that night so I passed an awful, stressful, anxious night in a filthy room. Note, there were rooms available but just not of my category and I was refused an upgrade because it would be for two nights?! That makes no sense!!! I complained about the room the following day to a different receptionist and she gave me a clean room and a free breakfast, which was kind. I would have rather paid my breakfast and had a clean room with no fecal matter and nail clippings on the first night though. I complained to Booking.com and the hotel refused to refund my first night as they believe they have made sufficiently amends by offering a free breakfast and a clean room. They have not made amends. I would avoid this place like the plague (high potential to catch it in this hotel!).
Better than expected and would stay again
Liked: Location, easy access to Metro and also Montjuic Park in walking distance. Room was bigger than expected, large bathroom with powerful shower. Always someone at reception no matter what time of night you arrive back.
Disliked: Limited storage space and view out of window was overlooking other rooms. But neither was a concern as it was a short stay and we had booked the basic room.
It was great, hotel is clean and perfectly located
Liked: The location is fantastic, it's near the city centre right across a subway station. The traffic is not bothering, and there are many great places to eat drink nearby. And your downtown (where ever you want to go really fast!)
