    OK, just

    Liked: Patient was pretty good

Disliked: It is very old-fashioned and there are no plugs for any electronics that are in a good place. It’s as if we are in 1985.

It was not the best, but it was okay due to the central location

Liked: The 24 hour buffet. Though whenever my husband and I went down (which was twice during our 2 day stay) there were staff there looking disapprovingly at us. It made us so uncomfortable that we didn’t come down for breakfast in our two-day stay.

Disliked: The first room we were given was extremely small compared to what we saw online and it was really smelling bad, it had to be changed. The second room was just a little bit better.

    Location Location Location

Liked: The location is excellent! I was on the garden side so did not get disrupted by the repairs being done on La Rambla. 24hour snacks and drinks is pretty good although somewhat inconsistent.

Disliked: The staff was not particularly welcoming. I saw a couple getting the complete rundown of the operation which I did not get and it would have been helpful for my 4 night stay. The elevator is extremely slow and rickety. Often forced to use the stairs. Plan accordingly.

Friendly staff, but a disappointing stay overall

    Liked: Friendly staff

Disliked: The staff were friendly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the hotel’s cleanliness, comfort and breakfast quality left us disappointed. On arrival, we were greeted by a stairwell undergoing renovation, and there was a very strong smell of mould and damp in the corridors. The double bed consisted of two single beds pushed together with separate mattresses, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The folding bed provided for our child blocked the wardrobe doors. Whenever we needed to access our belongings, we had to ask our child to get up and move the bed. We also found a cockroach in the shower cubicle. The breakfast selection was limited, and some of the food was not fresh: the melon tasted sour and fermented, the apples were shrivelled, the salad leaves were wilted, and the bread was dry. We were relieved that we had booked only two nights and spent very little time at the hotel apart from sleeping. Had our stay been longer, we would have looked for another hotel.
