Cramped Room and Insufficient Bathroom Facilities
Liked: The location is perfect
Disliked: We booked a double room with a shared bathroom. The bedroom locates on the Arctic section contains three rooms, and if each room is occupied by a couple, up to six guests may be sharing the same bathroom. Unfortunately, the toilet and shower are located in the same room and are not separated. This creates a stressful situation, particularly in the morning, when several guests need to use the facilities at the same time. If someone is taking a shower, the toilet is unavailable to everyone else. The bedroom itself was also very small, making the stay less comfortable than we had expected.

Liked: We had a great stay at Hotel Monegal in Barcelona. The hotel was clean and welcoming, and our room was cleaned every day, which really made our stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful—they were always ready with answers and recommendations, and made everything feel easy from check-in onward. Most importantly, the hotel feels well located for exploring the city, especially if you want to be close to the center. Overall, we’d highly recommend Hotel Monegal to anyone planning a trip to Barcelona and looking for a comfortable, well-run place with excellent service.

Disliked: ROOMS! Worst stay in our entire Spain trip. We accidentally booked Shared bathroom (bdw it is shared among 7 rooms), the rooms were so small (don't go on pictures). We payed 40k INR (300 euros) for 2 nights, while booking via booking.com and there we heard they were providing rooms for 90 euros per night. They mention there is elevator but for shared room you have to carry your luggage via staircase. Just location was good, but i feel you will find more properties in the same area.
Great service and cleanliness, but the old building, lack of breakfast, and high price were not to our liking
Liked: The staff were wonderfully kind and professional, always available to help. Our room was immaculately clean, with very thorough daily housekeeping that kept everything neat and organized.
Disliked: There were ongoing construction works in the square outside, which created significant noise, and the windows were not soundproof enough, making it difficult to rest properly at times. We also felt the price was quite high compared to the overall value.
