  AVOID IT IF YOU CAN - An apartment with lots of issues and appealing customer service

  Disliked: The experience staying here has been appalling since the first day and we encountered some health and safety issues as well. First of all, the wifi and TV were not working since day one; the shower head wouldn’t stay on and we had to hold it while having a shower, and there was draining problem, which the shower flooded and water came out to the hall way and bedroom when we had a shower. All these things were inconvenience, which we could bear with. The most serious problem is that there was exposed wire in this apartment, and my family got an electric shock from turning the lamp on in the room as the switch had exposed copper wire. This is serious health and safety concern, which could lead to potential death. We’ve been trying to contact the ShBarcelona agents to have someone to come over and sort these issues out. However, even on the last day of staying, they had been lying to us about sending a staff over. Five days of no WiFi, no proper shower as it flooded every time we used the shower, and the serious health and safety concerns. We’d been wasting our time dealing with these issues rather than enjoying our time in Barcelona. The agent said we needed to contact booking.com regarding a formal complaint, neither the agent nor booking.com had responded to our complaint. My family and I were really disappointed with the whole experience.

  Les corts apartment

  Liked: Overall, we had a smooth and enjoyable stay. The apartment was well-equipped and had everything we needed.

  Disliked: The air conditioning was inefficient, smelled of dust, and was quite noisy, suggesting it needed servicing. Unfortunately, there was also no Wi-Fi during our stay. Overall, a good stay, but these areas could be improved.

  Disliked: La TV no funcionó nunca pese a que pedimos que vayan a revisarlo. El menaje no fue suficiente para los 3 huéspedes que fuimos.

  Excellent value for money and great connection to the rest of the city

  Liked: Host and key delivery were excellent and included an English-speaking briefing of the city and neighbourhood. The 2-bedroom efficiency had everything needed for a business traveler including small stove and fridge and drip coffeemaker, kitchen sponge, dish soap, shampoo, etc. Cheap and cheerful, in a residential neighbourhood 1 block from the Metro station.

  Disliked: No blackout curtains and a fair amount of street noise early into the morning (it's Barcelona!). It didn't bother me but if you are sensitive to this, come prepared.
