Very good
Disliked: Very disappointing experience at Moxy Barcelona. There were three major issues during our stay. First, we were not allowed to bring our own food or drinks, even into the large chill-out lounge area on the third floor. We specifically explained that we didn’t want to use the restaurant tables, but simply wanted to relax in the common area. Apparently, even hotel guests cannot enjoy a beer or a snack there unless they buy everything from the hotel. This is ridiculous and makes the lounge feel more like a place designed to generate extra revenue than a space for guests to relax. Second, we were charged the city tax twice. At check-in, we showed the staff receipts clearly confirming that the city tax had already been paid. The staff checked everything and confirmed that no additional payment was required. However, on the day of checkout, the hotel charged us another €74 anyway. This is completely unacceptable. Third, Booking.com stated that the swimming pool would close in November, but when we arrived, it was already closed. This was misleading, as we expected the pool to be available during our stay. Overall, too many unpleasant surprises for one stay. Poor communication, disappointing policies and unexpected charges. Definitely not the experience we expected from a Marriott hotel.

On top of that, guests are not allowed to bring their own food or drinks into the communal lounge area. Too many unpleasant surprises and unnecessary restrictions. Definitely not what we expected from a Marriott hotel.

Liked: The Location was good for me but there are many others in this area of which you could say the same. The prices seem to rise by €50.00 each year. A real rip off if you need to stay in this area because of travel plans. Otherwise I would not chose to stay here, I would look elsewhere.
Disliked: No tea or coffee facilities in the room, very bad considering the price. But I knew that in advance. The room was simple and functional. An illuminated mural at the headboard was a novelty which you really could not enjoy as you only saw it when you were not in bed. The lift was limited to 3 persons. This is Paris, a world renowned capitol in 2026🤷♂️.
