Liked: Location
Disliked: Steep stairs to basement breakfast. Tiny old elevator limited to one person and one large bag. Very poor room decor. Bathroom ok but no plug for the tub. Shower curtain moldy.

Liked: The location is handy, close to a lot of bars, and the rooms were clean enough.
Disliked: It was really loud, because you can hear everyone walking and if somebody is talking or using the sink in the room next to you - you hear it. The breakfast is a joke. I am sorry, but calling plain bread without any cheese, sausage or not even tomato, just bread and plain butter a breakfast is insane. The only other thing to eat were small joughurts. Not to mention the breakfast happens in the club and you can still smell the smoke, smells from last night and my chair was sticky.

Liked: The location in the only covered square in Barcelona was very good; a very central location to all of the historic sites in the Barri-Gothic neighborhood of the city. All but one of the Gaudi properties were a distance. We were not disappointed particularly with the hotel and facilities, as it is significantly less expensive than other hotels in the area, so we understood what it would be like. I thought they did a great job with what they were working with, a very old building, with a small breakfast area; serving dozens of meals to many groups, including two groups of students from afar with @ 30 each. Breakfast was primarily bread and beverages/continental type, included. There was a small "jazz" club in the breakfast area evenings, and an attached restaurant, where we did not dine.
Disliked: There wasn't anything really we didn't like; we got what we paid for. The desk personnel were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. It was a great location, which is what we wanted and it was in our price range. Hotels, other than hosels would have cost twice as much, so it worked out beautifully for us!

Disliked: Elevator didn’t work the first day
Liked: Bedroom was adequate, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was good. Staff were excellent. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: The inside of the lift doors looked very dirty, and felt greasy. They really should be cleaned every day with so many people touching them. That is our only criticism.
