  Short and nice stay

  Liked: Good communication with Pilar to collect the keys. Apartment next to Collblanc, so easy access to the metro station. Comfortable beds. Everything we needed was there to start the day, including coffee.

  Nothing 'unique' about this listing, stay elsewhere in Barcelona for a better experience and value

  Liked: The residential building in which the apartment is situated is awful. Geographical location was good close to Collblanc metro station, and Camp Nou, but that's it in terms of positives.

  Disliked: Paid a premium for subpar accommodation, a terrible night’s sleep, and a host who came across as abrupt and rude. We agreed on a 15:00 check-in, which the host then tried to move to 15:30. When I pushed back, they suddenly offered 14:30. Why not offer the earlier time in the first place? It felt like the host expected us to plan our day around them, instead of the other way round. They also wouldn’t let us leave even small backpacks before check-in, so we had to lug our bags around Barcelona or pay for lockers. Don’t expect any flexibility or courteous communication, it was like dealing with a sulky teenager. The woman who met us (property manager?) seemed disorganised, and didn’t even know which property we were staying in. She was clearly overworked and rushing, mentioning she’d cycled across the city to get there. The listing is misleading: you’re not renting a full apartment, but half of one. There are two guest sections, so you’ll be sharing the space with others. The walls are paper-thin. We were kept awake by crying babies, barking dogs, and shouting families. Don’t expect a decent night’s sleep. There are no air-conditioning units in the bedrooms, only portable fans, which couldn’t be used properly due to awkwardly placed plug sockets high on the walls, bedrooms were uncomfortably hot. You may spot a house rules sign at the door stating: ‘92% of guests leave the apartment in a good condition... Please be so kind and take the rubbish out.’ That figure feels completely made up, a passive-aggressive attempt to guilt guests into doing chores. Why anyone would feel inclined to help after such a poor stay is beyond me. It’s also laughable to see rules like ‘respect the neighbours’ and ‘respect the quiet hours’. Follow them, of course, but don’t expect the neighbours to do the same. They won’t respect you or your sleep. I’d upload videos of the late-night and early-morning noise if Booking allowed it. Not worth the cost or the hassle. Look elsewhere.

  Good apartment, good connection to center

  Liked: Comfy apartment in a decent neighborhood, 3 min walk from metro station. Great connection to center, direct line L5 to Sagrada Familia and L9 to Airport. Lot of markets in surrounding area and Camp Nou 10 min away. Apartment has two bedrooms, kitchen is well equipped with modern bathroom. All in all, great value for money, especially if you book when price is not thru the roof.
