Do not book, avoid at all costs!
Liked: The only good thing was that we had a place to stay in Barcelona.
Disliked: Do not book! This apartment was in horrible condition, starting with a moldy bathroom (black mold on tiles, grout, and more concerning the shower head and hose). We had to buy a bathroom model remover and spent 2 hours cleaning the shower so we could use it... After that the shower was usable and the shower hose and head looked even normal... Which shows that they didn't clean this place. The washer handle was broken, making it impossible to almost use it, the dishwasher stank and after loading it it became apparent that it stank because it didn't work (so had to clean dishes by hand). They only provided 1 roll of toilet paper for a 5 night booking with 3 people. And the whole apartment smelled and was full of fruit flies. The blankets for the bed were stained, and the bed lights were shattered.
Liked: The accommodation was easily accessible. It was comfortable and clean. Everything in the accommodation was well-maintained. All the major attractions were easily accessible.
Overall, the stay was disappointing
Liked: The only thing I liked was the location, since it was really easy to catch the metro from there. The area had plenty of places to eat and have coffee, as well as small restaurants, so that part was good.
Disliked: The location was probably the only positive aspect of this stay, as it was easy to access the metro and the area had plenty of cafés, restaurants, and places to eat nearby. Unfortunately, my experience with both the host and the apartment itself did not meet my expectations. The communication with the host felt overwhelming, as we were constantly contacted on WhatsApp and repeatedly asked for different things — from completing online check-in to paying the city tax in advance. Personally, I do not appreciate this approach, especially when Booking stated that these payments would be handled upon arrival. As for the facilities, the apartment appeared relatively clean when we first arrived. However, when it was time to sleep, we opened the wardrobe to take the only duvet available, and honestly, it was disgusting. I am not usually someone who gets easily bothered by these things, but this looked as if it had never been washed. In the bedroom, there was one chandelier and two bedside lamps, but for some reason none of them worked, so we were always forced to use the main ceiling light. The kitchen also seemed relatively clean at first, but on the last day my friend took a cup to make coffee and nearly 200 grams of sugar spilled out of it, meaning the cup had been left like that without any indication that it contained sugar inside. Overall, neither the host, nor the cleanliness, nor the facilities lived up to my expectations for this apartment. There are many other accommodation options in Barcelona, and if I return to the city in the future, I definitely would not stay here again.
