  Liked: We were two cyclists travelling from Madrid to Córdoba on road bikes with lightweight camping gear. When we arrived on Sunday evening, the friendly and helpful owner welcomed us and recommended places for drinks and dinner. The hotel was steeped in history and distinctly Spanish. Its traditional inner courtyard had been enclosed with a glass roof, with the rooms overlooking the interior—a thoughtful conversion. Filled with antiques, it fully lived up to its promise of historic character. Breakfast was typical of a small Spanish hotel, with toasted bread and tomato, juice, fresh fruit and yoghurt, plus coffee and water as needed. When we left, we followed routes suggested by the owner, whose experience as a motorcyclist gave him excellent knowledge of quiet roads with smooth surfaces. We were delighted with the hotel: the bedrooms were clean, the showers were hot and we had an excellent night’s sleep.

  Very pkeasant stay

  Liked: Our room 104 was very pretty - the breakfast room was bright and airy and all well decorated. We liked the private garage, the garden and lovely location. Comfortable bed - a lot of effort in the decor everywhere.

  Disliked: We were unable to get food when we arrived -after five hours travelling. We had a coffee then tried to get food in the town but no food available and couldn’t find the shop.

  Liked: Location and the room was fantastic

  Disliked: They have closed the lovely restaurant that they had which is unfortunate. It means you have to find somewhere outside of the hotel to eat dinner
