Ok for 1 night on the Camino
Liked: Relaxing room with good smart TV for us to login to our Netflix account. Communal fridge/ freezer, coffee machine and microwave. 2 separate bathrooms.
Disliked: Very noisy road, breakfast wasn’t as shown in the photos, no fresh fruit, just small cartons of tropical fruit juice and bread to toast, plus tea, coffee and milk.
Liked: This location is a scam. They were unable to provide access. Do not book here
Disliked: Our only requirement when booking our trip was a private bath for us four women. And per their booking.com ad, they have a private bathroom. "comfortable Accommodations: Pensión As Burgas in Caldas de Reis offers family rooms with air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and free WiFi. Each room includes a work desk, TV, and wardrobe, ensuring a pleasant stay." When we arrived there was already one person waiting at the front door, we arrived second, and then two other groups arrived. It was unclear how to proceed since the door was locked. Group 3 was the first to call the number provided. When the "receptionist" finally came down she ignored the first group, my group and went immediately to the 3rd and 4th group (they booked through an agency). She situated them first even after being told the other people had arrived first. When we were finally taken to the 4th floor, we were told we were sharing one bathroom with the other 6 rooms on the floor - potentially 12 other people. The "receptionist" was very rude and said that in Spanish the ad said shared bathroom and basically it was booking.com's problem with translation. Sad to say we did not stay there and had to pay extra for another place that was considerably further away from town due to the late reservation.
Nice room but poor breakfast!
Liked: I had a great privatroom with my own bathroom. It was clean.
Disliked: The breakfast was really poor. You can get some toastbread, butter and jam, thats all. You get it at the hall and then eat it at you room. It was the poorest breakfast I had in the whole camino!
