A perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Sierra de Gredos and Vera valley
Liked: We LOVED our time at La Sayuela, including our 12 year-old daughter - truly a little oasis of peace and calm at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos. We found it an ideal location to unplug, relax and enjoy the wonders of this part of Spain - not least the mountain rivers, 'piscinas naturales' and historic villages spread along the Vera valley. The property's gardens and swimming pool offered a perfect escape from the summer heat, and the air conditioning in the villa was a major plus as well. Moreover, Keith and Jane could not have been more welcoming hosts - the fresh tomatoes from their vegetable patch being a particular highlight:). Overall, a fantastic stay, and it will be a pleasure to return at some point in the future!

Liked: It was clean and comfortable. I loved that both bedrooms were en suite. Jane was an excellent host, always available if we needed anything.

Liked: Friendly owners, made sure our stay was comfortable. Great location, surrounded by beautiful scenery and access to hiking and surrounding pueblos.

Liked: It’s peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
Disliked: If we were being a bit picky we would have preferred a larger and slightly softer bed!
A fantastic place
Liked: We had two fantastic days at Keith and Jane's place. The cottage is located at the foot of the mountains in a wonderfully peaceful setting. In the sky the vultures soar. The house is clean and everything has been renovated. The pool is very well maintained and a treat after a mountain hike. In the village of Madrigal de la Vera (5 km) is a supermarket as well as cafes and restaurants.
Disliked: The only thing that could be improved are the beds, we found them a bit hard. It might be an idea to put a topper on them.
