Fabulous
Liked: Great location
Liked: The apartment is located about 15 minutes’ walk from the main attraction, the Cathedral. The apartment is old-fashioned but clean. The mattress is very comfortable, which was a real plus. There is air conditioning in the living room, which is great, but unfortunately there is no AC in the bedroom — only a ceiling fan. The bathroom and plumbing were clean. However, the kitchen was very poorly equipped. There were literally only two small cups, which were not really suitable for drinking tea or coffee, one bread knife and one pot. So if you are planning to cook, the lack of kitchen utensils may be a problem. Overall, considering the price, it is a reasonably affordable place to stay, especially for a short visit.
Disliked: One important thing to mention is that, at the time of our stay, there was road construction in the courtyard, so it was impossible to drive directly to the apartment. Google Maps also shows the turn as being restricted to authorised vehicles only, so driving through the “no entry” sign is definitely not advisable. As a result, we had to unload our luggage quite far from the apartment.
Liked: Comfortable and clean apartment, our host met us and led us through the winding streets to the parking beneath the apartment. Great restaurants nearby, walkable to the old city.
A good base to explore Cordoba, but the lack of equipment in the kitchen was disappointing
Liked: The location was very convenient and the apartment was a good size with comfortable furniture.
Disliked: A reason for taking an apartment is because of the pleasure of going to Spanish markets, getting lovely fresh fish, vegetables etc and cooking a tasty meal. However on arrival this proved impossible. For the two of us there was only one large plate, one mug, one cup, one bowl, no pans other that a non-stick frying pan but only metal utensils, no kettle for those that like tea and not coffee from the coffee machine, and a microwave with no extra containers to microwave in. There not being a dish washer and the weather being rather cold, the urge to dry things off was thwarted by an absence of any tea towel. Having complained to the host, a single pan, some utensils for the non-stick frying pan, one further bowl and two flannels (presumably as stand ins for a tea towel) were left in the apartment, so we managed, but it took the shine off what should have been one of the pleasures of our holiday.
It was just the place I needed to rest. It is a good place to stay when visiting Cordoba
Liked: Very close to the city center. One can let the luggage and enjoy Cordoba.
Liked: Location - the apartment was really central Facilities - air conditioning, washing machine
Disliked: Towels: we were two people and the apartment only had one set of towels. Not related to the apartment: parking was really difficult in the city. There were some parking spaces in the building but we weren't lucky enough to get a place on the last day. Paying for parking in Córdoba is almost inevitable if you are at the center.
