Exceptional
Great location, but serious issues with cleanliness, comfort and unpleasant odours
Liked: The apartment is conveniently located close to the Mezquita-Cathedral, making it an excellent base for exploring Córdoba on foot. We also appreciated the flexibility regarding our early check-in. The host who welcomed us was very friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing accommodation of our entire Andalusia trip. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, seriously affecting our sleep quality. We raised this concern immediately upon check-in. Furthermore, the beds were surprisingly narrow (approximately 140–160 cm), despite our efforts to book accommodation with sufficiently spacious beds. The cleanliness of the kitchenware was simply unacceptable. Almost every plate, glass, bowl and piece of cutlery we took from the cupboards was visibly dirty, with food residue and grime. We have rarely encountered anything like this. As the apartment has no dishwasher, proper cleaning clearly depends on previous guests and thorough checks by housekeeping. Neither appears to have worked in this case. The towels were rather small, and our bedroom lacked adequate privacy and blackout facilities. It was possible to look into the bedroom from the rooftop terrace across the courtyard, and the room could not be properly darkened. However, the most unpleasant issue was the overwhelming sewage-like smell. During both nights, a particularly strong faecal odour affected the surrounding area, making it almost impossible to open the windows for ventilation. Worse still, the smell also entered the apartment through the shower drain. It was extremely unpleasant and significantly affected our comfort. Finally, there is no lift, which makes carrying heavy luggage upstairs particularly inconvenient, especially when travelling with an elderly person. Despite the excellent location and friendly welcome, the combination of extremely uncomfortable beds, unacceptable kitchenware cleanliness, inadequate bedroom privacy and the persistent sewage smell made this our worst accommodation experience in Andalusia. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property in its current condition.
Excellent location and airy apartment!
Liked: Excellent location, very clean and beautiful apartment. We would reserve again. A little pricier than nearby units. The staff was very accommodating about us coming in earlier as our train arrived early.
Disliked: Nothing of significance. Would be nice to have a few more utensils in the kitchen; for example large knife and a couple more pans and lids.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return!
Liked: Maria was a great communicator and very responsive! Fabulous location. centrally located and convenient to attractions, restaurants, shopping. Gorgeous view from the rooftop terrace!
Disliked: The room could use some basic amenities such as tissues, a blanket, and cups, wine glasses.
