  Nice looking villa in a nice location. But terrible quality furniture, terrible management and lack of acknowledgment of

  Liked: The location was nice.

  Disliked: Poor cleanliness and condition throughout, which we raised the day after we arrived. On arrival: dirty pots, dirty oven and fridge, unmade beds downstairs, stained sofas and chairs, and all 4 sunbeds broken, in a villa sleeping 14. Furniture throughout felt cheap and uncomfortable for what’s marketed as a premium villa. The BBQ was greasy and looked like it had never been cleaned. The pool had green algae around the edges and numerous missing tiles. The terrace had no furniture at all besides 2 mouldy beanbags. The basement “sofa beds” were actually small futons, wholly inadequate for the numbers advertised. There was also a large, irritating wasps’ nest in the garden which was irritating throughout our stay. The basement sofa bed was also unsafe — my son cut his leg open on it. We chose not to make a fuss and dealt with much of this ourselves rather than escalate: washing the dirty pots, cleaning the oven and fridge, and making up the beds downstairs. We did make a point of a few things on our first full day (after arriving at midnight on the day before) and we were told she was not the decision maker and couldn’t do anything. Why would we bother raising any more concerns?! We just dealt with it ourselves. Check-out was also poorly handled. We asked whether we could pay for an extra night so we could use the villa on our last day; this was never acknowledged. We were only offered a 10:45am check-out instead of the standard 10am, which wasn’t what we’d asked for and didn’t work for us as we had commitments to get to. Nobody showed up so we left the villa at 10am as we had to be at our other stop before the airport. On top of this, the property manager falsely claimed we left a mattress in a damaged condition, which we categorically dispute. The mattresses were stained along with lots of other items and we have no explanation for it and don’t accept responsibility for damage we didn’t cause.
