  Extremely run down

  Liked: There really wasn’t much to like about this place. The swimming pool was a nice addition.

  Disliked: Foul smell in the bathroom of drains that permeated the whole property. Apparently this is a known issue in all of the apartments and happens after rainfall. I couldn’t stomach this smell for a weeks holiday so Formentera Break offered to swap us to a different property of theirs which was fantastic. Staying in this accommodation would have ruined our stay in Formentera unfortunately as the smell was so awful. It was also extremely run down and the description of ‘recently refurbished’ was very misleading. Kitchen and bathroom both tired and in need of renovating, with multiple faults in the property such a bathroom door that didn’t shut and faulty electrics in the bedroom. It all felt very run down and in need of attention. Cats all over the property (I think belonging to the owner) which is fine if you like cats but they appeared at every mealtime prowling for food which was a nuisance around our toddler in a high chair.

  Liked: The outside area of apartments is lovely with nice pool

  Disliked: We had a damp smell in the all the rooms when we arrived. We complained and they said it's as we were first people to stay in season. We were offered an apartment of unequal cost. And they would not refund. We kept windows open and it improved it a little, but smell came back if windows closed. It was ingrained in kitchen cupboards! Couldn't be outside in evening due to mosquitos and you pretty much need a car to get anywhere.

  We love Formentera, and had a lovely week

  Liked: Liked the pool and location, also nice and quiet

  Disliked: Was a bit disappointed we didn’t get clean bedding at least once during week, and would’ve like clean towels twice instead of once, we have stayed 4 previous times on the island and in all other places we have had much more cleaning and fresh linen and towels provided.

  Liked: Garden, going to sleep with the sound of crickets singing. El Gato, nature, large terrace, modern facilities, quality build. Professional staff.
