  Think twice do DEEP research before deciding to visit the area

  Liked: Hard to say for it is a very small village with few options but I would say it was good with parking facility in front of the property.

  Disliked: 1. The owner or the manager was an extremely nervous person with a rapid fire vocal, and was nearly impossible to make her listen and digest the issue at hand on the phone. It required to employ a technique of an agressive business meeting to make her think before open her mouth. It was a behavior NOT to be ACCEPTED. 2. This is NOT a fault of the Property, but I mention it for potential customers. The village have only one bar without restauration, which converted into an open air Discotheque while we were. The nearest restaurant was in Frías, some 2km walking, which also catered poorly for the people in needs of restauration.

  Liked: The directions were very good and we parked just outside the rear door to our amazement as we didn't know where we were going! Do not follow Google directions through the village itself - take the road to Frias beyond the Hermitage a further kilometre and then sharp right which will get you to the car park much easier. The local bar looks great but as it didn't do evening food we were a bit flummoxed! The waterfall is great but we didn't go in as it was rather hectic! I'm not sure there was breakfast unless it was the cakes left on arrival. The accommodation is wonderfully furnished and very clean and there is a coffee maker. I tried to find bread in the morning and some seems to be on sale at the bar but I think it was all reserved - my Spanish let me down! So you may have to drive into Frias for food - there is a small grocery/butcher's shop immediately into Frias. A lovely building and a lovely old genuine Spanish village - more geared to locals.
