  Where do I begin?

  Disliked: Where do I start? Our experience at this guesthouse was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, very distressing for my family. Firstly, we were left waiting for around 15 minutes in the blistering heat for the host to arrive. We had booked the Junior Suite, which clearly stated on Booking.com that it included 1 single bed and 2 double beds. However, when we arrived, the room only had one double bed and one sofa bed, which was not suitable for our family of four. We raised this immediately with the host. Unfortunately, there was a significant language barrier, and we had to use Google Translate to communicate. We were eventually directed to speak to someone by telephone who spoke English. We were told that Booking.com had apparently listed the wrong information on their website. Regardless of who was responsible for the error, we were the guests left in an extremely difficult situation. We were offered a makeshift single bed. It was far from ideal, but we had little choice and made do. The main room was also extremely hot, so we were provided with a fan. We then enquired about breakfast and were told that someone would bring it to us the following morning. Later that day, I requested an iron, which I consider to be a basic amenity, particularly when it is listed as available. Due to the language barrier, we were mistakenly provided with a hairdryer instead. Although we did need a hairdryer, we still needed the iron and explained this. The following morning, we asked when breakfast would arrive. Shortly afterwards, someone arrived with cheese, crackers and a milkshake. I would not consider this a proper breakfast, particularly when breakfast had been advertised as part of the accommodation. What made matters considerably worse was the message we subsequently received from the host: “Good morning, Sir you have paid 200 euro but your wishes are 5 stars 2000 euro hotel wishes. Please be realistic and modest.

  Not what it promises!

  Liked: room as such was clean

  Disliked: Guest house seriously needs an update! Bench at roof top is crumbling and unsafe to sit on. Roof top area has so much potential but hot tub was out of order (no advance info given but was for several days). Unkempt - had to clean table before we could eat there! Breakfast is prepackaged items left on a half broken fridge. No plates, no milk (not even on request), cheapest cheese, 2 spoons and glasses for 4 people etc. only 1 bedside lamp for 2 people Bathroom is absolutely tiny and shower door is not properly attached. Price not acceptable in comparison for what you otherwise pay in Spain.

  Misleading photos, don't believe what you see

  Liked: Location was good.

  Disliked: Check in was terrible. Had to phone the number given THREE times just to check in at my expense. Number was IN GERMANY.!!! What is going on there? Also saw other guests having this trouble. Bubble bath on terrace not working and is in pieces all over the terrace, no tables & chairs, no bar as it used to be before. Not advised by the property, they want you to think all is good, it is not it is dirty on the terrace. Place is in new hands and is much WORSE for it. Forget the bubble bath pictures it is Kaput.

  Liked: The host is extremely kind and welcoming, she prepared me breakfast and handled it to me as soon as she learned I'm leaving early in the morning.

  Disliked: This is only general information, nothing that I didn't like! Try to book in advance as they prepare your stay, last minute bookings can be challenging. Also the host doesn't speak English.
