Exceptional
Lovely apartment but wouldn’t stay without aircon or lift again
Disliked: Air conditioning and elevator as there were 54 steps and were in our 70’s

Nice apartment but sadly very bad host
Liked: The apartment is very beautiful and well equipped, located very well. The view from the terrace is amazing. Water was hot enough (although the pressure in the shower is non-existing). TV with netflix, good wifi. Good lighting. Be careful if you have special needs (there is a starway up to 3rd floor and irregular floor level between the rooms).
Disliked: We were astonished when the host call after our stay and said we left the apartment "extremely dirty". Just to explain: 1) we took the garbage bag out even if we did not have to, and still she said we left trash (one paper cover from a package of cookies); 2) we washed part of plates, although again, we don't have to! We left several dirty glasses and an oily pan, as we don't know where to recycle the oil. She asked for money for extra cleaning and when I refused she said she would claim via booking com. I have just checked the property policies once again, and there is nothing about the guests cleaning. Basically, the idea of staying in a hotel or a rental apartment is that you don't clean! At all! I attach photos of "extremely dirty":) Also, I informed her personally we were traveling with a 10 y.o. child who for some reason was not stated in the reservation, and she asked to pay her directly which I did. Later when she called she claimed we "tried to bring 3rd person without payment". Please stay far from this host!
Very relaxing place to stay, lovely town out of season
Liked: Great location, lovely terrace, very light
Disliked: A little noisy from other nearby flats, shower drain needs de-blocking, radiator in the bedroom doesn’t work
We had an excellent stay and we loved L'Escala
Liked: The location was excellent and basically in the centre of the old town of L'Escala. We only had to use the car for trips out of the town. We could walk to the beach, shops etc. very easily. And the view from the terrace was perfect.
Disliked: Nothing really. Maybe on-site parking would have been nice. We used the Continental Parking which was a short walk from the apartment, but this wasn't a problem.
Beautiful view, nice restaurants, good beaches and fun shopping
Liked: The view and the private terrace. Close to shops and restaurants and beach.
Disliked: Parking was a bit hard to find, but not impossible. Stairs were a challenge, but we got used to them.
