  A lack of attention to detail results in a disappointing experience

  Liked: The cabins have quality construction and great potential. There were no issues with our very late check in (around midnight). With more attention to detail it could really live up to the premium feel of the marketing.

  Disliked: The gap between the premium experience on the Cabañas website and the reality of the experience was a disappointment, unfortunately. The website implies countryside views, but our cabin (Helania) looked on to the back of another cabin and our neighbour's parked car. The website shows soft, golden lighting in the rooms, but there was harsh overhead lighting throughout, including in our bedroom, which didn't even have a bedside lamp, so that overhead light was our only option in the evening and early morning. The pillows were particularly bad (i woke up with a stiff, painful shoulder on the first morning) and the shower gel in the bathroom was bright blue in an institutional looking dispenser. There are three TVs (!) but not enough space to put your suitcase. It's like whoever designed it hasn't thought enough about the needs of the people who will be staying. For me, it's the attention to such details that marks the difference between a great experience and a mediocre one.

  Liked: It was fairly quiet at night, fair facilities, location was good if you are planning to drive around this area of galicia.

  Disliked: The cabana was full of really strange choices- three tv’s and no closets or any alternative storage furniture. Kitchen was spartan and there were no other services available on the property like bread service. The advertised view is only available to three out of 6 bigger cabana’s. So overall a pretty mixed feeling about this one.

  Nice if you like aircon

  Liked: The view is fine if you are in the front line. You can see Forest. The person who received me was perfectly nice. Malpica has a nice grilled sardine at the beach.

  Disliked: There was no way to open just a window. And when I opened the door for some air, I got invaded by mosquitoes that harassed me all night long. Fine if you like air-conditioning, which I don’t. The place looks nice, but it’s all just looks. The toilet was wobbly. There were spiderwebs in many of the corners. The tv off color. The aircon hard to decipher. The parking spot was a bit dangerous to get out of. Malpica was not particularly welcoming to outsiders.
