Liked: This is a wonderful centuries-old house that has been converted to a delightful hotel. Highly recommended!
Only go in summer
Liked: Staff extremely friendly, showed us around and explained the history of the property. However nights are cold in April in this hilltop location and our room was chilly despite having 2 oil filled radiatiors. Breakfast was meagre and the coffee was not hot enough.

Mala gestión, personal nada profesional
Liked: Al llegar al hotel a las 17:00 no habían procurado una temperatura de confort en la habitación, hacía más frío dentro que en la calle a pesar de ser diciembre en Soria. La gerente de una manera poco profesional nos atendió sobre las 19:00 y nos trasladó su problema alegando que no podía hacer nada ya que había sufrido un parón su calefacción el día anterior, situación extraña ya que la habitación no contaba con ningún radiador, sino con una bomba de calor y dos calefactores eléctricos. Solicitamos un cambio de habitación ante la imposibilidad de dormir con semejante frío y su respuesta fue que no podían hacer nada.
Very special indeed
Liked: The onsite manager Javier was wonderful. He contributed so much to our amazing stay there. He went out of his way to have our time there be special. In addition to his many contributions, He gave us a delightful tour of this old historic home. It was indeed a highlight of our month and a half trip in Italy, Spain and Morocco.
Disliked: The only thing that was challenging for us was finding the place. Medinaceli is an old walled historic town. As with so many old towns in Europe, street signage is not easy as it is in North America. Google directions weren't either. Thank goodness we aren't shy about asking strangers to help us. That's a bit challenging as well given we don't speak any language but english, and in these out of the way places many don't speak much english. But somehow it gets worked through.
