Disliked: The owner was horrible. I think this listing should be taken off booking.com for how we were treated. We did not stay the night. Hygiene and cleanliness were not of a sufficient standard and there was an issue with the facilities in terms of hot water. We arrived at the apartment about 6.30pm and had a booking for dinner at 8pm. We all needed to wash after walking the Camino that day. After one short bath and less than 5mins of another person in the shower, there was no hot water and the boiler was showing no pressure on the tank. When we called the number provided to sort the problem, after reading the brochure and failing to find a resolution ourselves, the owner of the property answered and immediately placed blame on us for the lack of hot water, stating that it would have satisfied 5 people having a 4min shower each one after another. We were yelled at and threatened by the woman over the phone saying that she would go to the Guardia Civil. We asked if she could come over to look at the boiler herself so that she could assess and help us, however, this invite was not going to be a nice meeting. She came in with an aggressive tone and made comments about my appearance when she entered the apartment and, after yet more shouting and nastiness, we decided staying the night was no longer an option. We packed up our things and left the property asap whilst she was still arguing with us. This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences and, after she had threatened me again to use my identity from booking.com, it was apparent that our safety could be compromised. Sadly, however, this wasn't the end. My brother had unfortunately left his watch in the apartment and, when he went back to retrieve it, he was met with the owner's intimidating son. Upon entering the apartment, my brother saw that the beds (which had be unused by us) were now messily unmade and there was no sign of his watch.
Good value for money in a nice apartment
Liked: Very nice apartment in Melide. The manager helped getting in earlier, then the original check-in time. We had a good night sleep in the apartment near the city center. We could even wash our cloths.
Disliked: We had one blanket on the double bed, and with my wife we like to have our own blanket.:)
The owner was very flexible and accomodating to our needs which was appreciated
