Some upgrades needed
Liked: For our purpose - to have a base to explore the nature - this was a decent choice. The bed was pretty comfortable, the couch and smart TV was great for relaxing after the mountains, parking was easy, the bathroom was nice and we had enough space for our significant luggage.
Disliked: The kitchen was challenging to work in due to the old-fashioned sink (that is really a wash basin to wash clothes) and the stove that we struggled to cook on. The host was very helpful though, and I believe these issues will be fixed. There is a very noisy train going by the apartment every hour or so, and the main road runs right by as well, which makes it hard to keep the windows open. There’s no aircon though, so I imagine that will be a challenge in warmer weather. When these basic issues are fixed, I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a base to explore Asturian nature.
