Good
As above. Not sure whether the fault was the Hostal or that of booking.com who had sent us a confirmation e mail
Liked: Good location and very clean. Beds and pillows comfy
Disliked: Although we booked with booking.com the man on reception said there was no booking for us. It was very stressful as he couldn’t speak English. After about 30 minutes trying to communicate with him we presented him with the euros to pay for the room immediately and he reluctantly gave us his only remaining room which was for 3 persons when we had only booked a double room. He seemed quite cross about the whole thing so this spoilt our experience even though the room and Hostal were fine
Liked: Location was great for what we wanted.
Disliked: No external window, some rooms do but not the twin on the top floor, just window onto staircase.
Stay was good, but when we arrived they had no note of our booking
Liked: For August is was reasonably priced.
Liked: The location was very good and they accepted to stay a bit longer until 19:00 to do the check in for us
Disliked: The room was slightly small, just a bed and a not perfect wardrobe. The toilet was smelly and noticeable in the bed. They asked for cash only
Rude arrogant host!
Liked: Location.
Disliked: Had to wait for 60+ minutes after we phoned he so-called host arrived to book us in despite phoning him twice. He was extremely rude and refused to give us a receipt for payment for in cash. We got a signature on a copy statement. The room was very basic. Pillows were awful. WiFi was terrible on the 3rd floor it would connect and disconnect straight away. When this was addressed with the host, he just dismissed it and pretend to not understand a word of english,which he clearly did! As a health and safety issue, the balustrade to the 3rd floor was loose to its fixing to the wall. We woke at 07.00 wanting to get out of this room as early as we could! Which was convenient as some roofers started on an adjacent roof at 07.30. Would we return or recommend this establishment? NO!
Value for money in a convenient location
Liked: No view from my room it was the internal staircase shower the room terrace was right outside my door which was lovely
Disliked: Not really a problem as cafe across road. But there was a Kettle in room but no cups.
